Aigues-Mortes
Discover a fortified city which was the departure point for crusaders in the 13th century. King Louis IX (later beatified Saint Louis) chose this location for leaving by boat for Jerusalem for the 7th and 8th crusade. Lunch break in one of the many restaurants of the historical town. Walk on the remparts overlooking the colourful salt lakes and visit the Constance tower.
