We start with the famous spring of Fontaine de Vaucluse with its pure water and leafy surroundings. The Luberon Regional Natural Park established in the 1970s, is characterised by a series of strikingly picturesque hilltop limestone villages such as Gordes, while the village of Roussillon is renowned for its magnificent red cliffs and former ochre quarry. Early in the afternoon we will discover Saint Remy de Provence, birthplace of Nostradamus and the town where Van Gogh created some of his most famous paintings. Next, we will explore, nearby, the historical village of Les Baux de Provence. We will finish the tour by travelling back to the time of the Roman Empire to admire the remarkable Aqueduct of the Pont du Gard. (UNESCO site).
